I'm now going to talk about an "basic" Amithlon install.
For this purpose I have the following things in order:
We will in this example use an old 1.5G IDE disk.
The disk will be formated so NO data should be on it.
The first thing we need to look into the bios to make sure it will boot first
on cdrom.
This is usualy called "boot order" in the bios setup.
Boot your pc, and it should boot from the cd.
With some luck you get a fully working Workbench after the cd have loaded the
data.
Use hdtools to setup and partision the disk (take care to select correct disk).
Reboot (Print Screen - R)
Format the partisions (Don't use 'verify')
Use the installer on the WB installation on the cd to install WB3.9 on you new disk.
Reboot (Print Screen - R)
You should now boot from your newly setup HD.
(More to come..)
